Friends moving on… June 2025

As a missionary we have seen many people come and go from the mission compound. It is a hard thing. These people become your friends along side you in a land that is not our own. We share experiences that no one else will understand in our home land. Our children become friends and play outside like a 1950’s American kid, non of this video gaming and tv watching always. This season June 2025 many are leaving the field. Many who we have know for over a decade. Friends who I have called on in the middle of the night, who have shared birthdays with as well as fellowship with. God heard my prayer all the way back in 2012 when we knew we were going to be coming to PNG and I prayed that he would give me Good friends. I was so fearful of the unknown I was hoping I would go through life with others from my homeland. God was good (as always) and granted me many friends thorough out this journey, some who had left pretty early on in our ministry and others who are leaving now. I am sure this will be the life ahead of me, for our plan is to be here long term. Never take for granted the friends that you have down the street or in your church. For when missionary friends leave normally that means they are moving back to a place that isn’t close to you even in your home country.

Pray for us, just feeling a little sad as we look at the empty houses and know that we won’t do life with them again. On a happy note- we still have good friends here and are thankful for all the LORD has done it Moka recently, more to come on that!

love you all!

a lot of us waving goodbye!
